It's about time

that I really start using my blogspot account. This is ridiculous. And yes, a few of my friends started blogging again, so I am a copy cat. If it bothers you that much, write a letter to management......... yeeesh.

So right at this very moment I am uploading CDs for my boyfriend to my computer, so he can upload them on his iPod. Some of the artisits include:

Pantera (I'm fine with)
P.O.S. (Hip hop that you really should listen too)
Living Legends (See above)
Sugar Ray (apparently they were once good)
Metallica ( meh =/)
White Zombie ( can't stand it!)
Beastie Boys ( the best!)
The Beavis and Butthead Soundtrack (he's a child of the 90s, what do you want)

One of the songs on the soundtrack is titled "Lesbian Seagull" and is sung by Ingleburt Humperdink. This maybe the greatest song title I have ever heard in my life. It's worthy of my Facebook status update.

I work in radio now, which is interesting and fun to say the least. It is such a trip that it took me this long to chase one of my lifelong dreams. I feel such a nerd gushing over it. I get paid crap, I have no medical benefits what-so-ever and I work really odd hours......... and I love it so much. I am really getting the hang of it and am really starting how to figure it all out. It;s like making art with audio. I just feel like I have finally found something that I might be good at.

The BEST part is that I am getting to work with a morning show that I have been following for about 4 years. At the same time I feel super guilty because it came about because the person doing this job was laid off. It's so conflicting! Helping out the show though is only temporary, but it is great to get some morning show experience. Other than that, I have starting to figure some things out about production and using audio. If you had told me this was going down a year ago, I would have never believed you at all.

It's also such a BRUTAL industry without a ton of security. I know it's worth the risk. To me, you can't put a price on this knowledge and experience and all the things it has the potential to lead to.

I've decided to read the whole Bible this year. I am only 4 books in, but thank God I am not Jewish. The amount of rules and regulations would makes my head spin.

I think the ONLY reason that this is actually getting done is the fact that I am reading it via "The Living Bible". It is a kind of summarized version of the Bible, written in plain English. It is dope! If you want to check it out, it's on Amazon.com
